Car Park in Rotherham

Look out for circus troops, brass bands, bhangra dancers and more popping up in a street near you this month.

The Rotherham Together Programme is aiming to bring a spark of joy to people’s lives during these uncertain times.

Artists will be popping up in high streets, cul-de-sacs, outside care homes and maybe even up your street bringing little sparks of joy to your day.

Coronavirus - stay alert to stay safe

Cllr Sarah Allen, Rotherham Council’s Cabinet Member for Cleaner, Greener Communities said: “With the uncertainty about COVID-19, the colder weather and darker nights, people across Rotherham may be finding it tough at the moment.

“We hope that these performances can provide a light in the darkness and help raise a smile in such testing times.”

Residents are encouraged to get in touch with the RMBC Events page on Facebook and tell the team where they would like them to visit.

Rotherham Libraries are also offering access to e-books (including graphic novels), e-audio books, e-newspapers and e-magazines all for free to help keep people entertained throughout lockdown.
